J.D. Power Names 2016 Nissan Frontier Best Mid-Size Truck in 2016 Initial Quality Study

J.D. Power recently released the results of its 2016 Initial Quality Study (IQS), and here at John Roberts Nissan, we were proud to see that the 2016 Frontier has been recognized as the best mid-size truck. Now in its 30th year, the Initial Quality Study surveys purchasers and lessees of new 2016 model-year vehicles within 90 days of ownership. This year, more than 80,000 customers responded to the 233-question survey.

Initial Quality scores are based on the number of problems reported per 100 vehicles (PP100). Overall, the Nissan brand improved 20 PP100 over last year's study. This moved Nissan up five positions, into the sixth spot among non-premium brands.

“Earning the top spot among vehicles in the extremely competitive mid-size truck segment is an immense point of pride for us,” said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Chief Marketing Manager and Marketing Operations, Nissan North America, Inc. “For our brand to jump 10 spots in the industry is an amazing feat. This recognition is a testament to the incredibly skilled men and women at our manufacturing and engineering facilities around the world.”
