Details Emerge About the Next-Gen 2018 Nissan Leaf

As the unveiling of the 2018 Nissan Leaf draws near, we're learning more about the electric-powered hatchback. The newest teaser gives us the best official look of the new Leaf yet.

In the teaser photo you can see a new aerodynamic profile. Nissan claims that the new shape was designed with the profile of an airplane wing in mind. This provides a more symmetrical pattern flow that reduces drag and allows drives to go further on a single charge.

Other confirmed features in the 2018 Nissan Leaf include ProPilot Assist and their own form of e-Pedal one-foot driving. ProPilot Assist is semi-autonomous and uses sensors on cameras to help things like steering, acceleration, and braking. The e-Pedal allows drivers to accelerate, decelerate, and brake using just pedal. No details have been released regarding the powertrain specs.

The 2018 Nissan Leaf will be unveiled on September 6th.
